Early in the morning, we will pick up the passengers and depart for Mindo, located northwest of Quito. We will take the highway to the Middle of the World, and then continue to Calacalí, passing through Pahúma. In two hours we will be at our destination.
This is considered one of the most biodiverse areas in Ecuador and is home to several species of hummingbirds and butterflies. In addition, you will be able to observe other species of birds, as Mindo hosts an annual bird count, and other animals.
Once there, if you choose the option without entrance, you will be able to enjoy the place at your own pace.
The rest of the people will have the opportunity to admire this forest in all its splendor by cable car. On the other side of the river, you can hike (beginner level) to the best waterfalls in Mindo, called “Cascadas Nambillo”, where you will have the option of doing the entire waterfall route (2 or 3 hours) or just part of it (1 hour). Don’t hesitate to bring your swimsuit and take a dip, the water is cool and very pleasant!
We will have lunch in the village, where you will taste typical Ecuadorian food lunches. However, resist dessert, as we will take you on a full chocolate experience, where you will learn how cocoa is planted and then used to make chocolate. This experience is run by a socially responsible local company and is for women only.
Afterwards, we will head to the hill, where we will take the shuttle to go up to a place where you can practice one of the extreme sports for which Mindo is famous. We are referring to canopy, a sport in which you cross the cloud forest through 20 ropes with their respective support. During the activity, you will be able to observe the forest from above

We will finish around 6:00 p.m. and tourists will have free time after dinner, until the next day.
